About Lyra Medical

A serial entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the medical device arena, Mr. Shohat has introduced several medical devices into the market, two of which have been acquired (OrthoSpace and Eon Surgical). Over the span of his career, Mr. Shohat has held senior management and development positions including Director, Chief Technology Officer, and Vice President of R&D. He has also been involved in the incorporation of eight medical device companies.

An experienced entrepreneur, Mr. Levit has a successful track record of founding, launching, managing, raising funds for and bringing to fruition medical device companies. Mr. Levit has led Lyra's operations from incorporation through three fundraising rounds, R&D, clinical studies, regulatory approvals and strategic alliances, to a successful product launch and sales in Europe and Israel. During this time, he has continued to serve as a director at Resilience Medical, a company he co-founded for the development of collagen, cross-linking technology. Over the span of his career Mr. Levit has gained vast experience in all aspects of product and business development, clinical and regulatory affairs, and fundraising, including preparation for IPO at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. Prior to co-founding Lyra Medical, Mr. Levit held the position of VP Marketing & Business Development at Real Imaging Ltd. Earlier in his career, he led the merger of Medcon’s Hemodynamic Monitoring System into McKesson, which was later acquired by Change Healthcare. Iram holds a BSc in Biomedical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.

A recognized and distinguished urogynecologist, Dr. Levy invented the concept of Lyra’s surgical implant and has led the pre-clinical and clinical trials, and all of the company’s training aspects. Also an experienced entrepreneur with a successful track record, he established and later sold Urogyn Ltd., a medical device company within his field of expertise. Dr. Levy founded and currently runs the Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery division at the Assuta University Medical Center, Ashdod. Prior to joining Assuta, Dr. Levy founded the Urogynecology unit at Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center (MHMC) and served as Assistant Professor and Director of the Center for Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Reconstructive Surgery at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY and Staten Island University Hospital .Dr. Levy is a renowned researcher and the author of numerous publications. He was on the New York Magazine’s Best Doctors list in 2008.

As regulatory and quality assurance manager, Dr. Oren-Giladi led the AMAR and CE certification process of the SRS Implant, which was finalized in August 2018. Prior to joining Lyra, she was employed at Active Implants as a quality specialist of complaints and vigilance in class IIb and III medical devices. Dr. Oren-Giladi received her doctorate degree from Tel Aviv University, in the field of Human Molecular Genetics. She is a QA lead auditor and is qualified for GCP regulations.

With more than a decade of experience developing and manufacturing products that interact with the human body, Ms. Arkin joined Lyra Medical as the Operations Manager. Her areas of expertise include project management, product strategy, business development and global manufacturing. Prior to joining Lyra, Ms. Arkin established and managed the Technological Textile Product Department at JBD Studio, specializing in medical products including implants, wearables and IOT. She holds an M.A. in Sustainable Development in Developing Countries from Tel Aviv University, a BSc. in Retail Merchandising from Texas State University, and a Pedorthics certification from Chicago Medical School.
